Nippon Steel is part of the ongoing series of work One day all towers and spires will take off, 2003-2006. This video is shot in the industrial landscape around a steel factory in Kitakyushu, Japan. The industry in the city has the last decades declined and the area looks like a empty abandoned space. Parts of the functional architecture disappears to the sky like rockets and logos fade away, The buildings are transformed in appearance and functionality.
