It's a countdown from 99 to 0 where alterations in the typography of the numbers have been made by hand. The number 99 represented by a classic Times typeface might give associations to the font used in newspapers, while when it reaches 0 the number typeface is with a font based on the NASA logo from the seventies, which looks futuristic in a retro way.
 
Countdown reminds us that the future is not the sum of the past, present and the incommensurability of the future, but an irreversible advance towards the unknown.
