The animation Apple, Side A, Side B, is a double screen monitor piece. It takes the logo from Apple Records, founded in 1968 by the Beatles, as a starting point. Standard Apple album and single labels would display a Granny Smith apple on the A-side, while the flipside displayed the apple cut in half. This animation consists of 56 plates of different apples from a book on orcharding from 1960, where one screen shows the whole apple, the other screen the same apple cut in half, in the same dimensions as a record sleeve.
